Future Stars - FREE Basketball Clinic

No Player Left Behind, a new program designed to enhance sports skills and community volunteerism among youth, will offer a FREE basketball clinic as the first installment of the “Future Stars” series of camps and clinics.  The clinic, for elementary, middle school and high school students, aims to increase participants’ basketball knowledge and improve their fundamentals.

The clinic will include a lecture on the association of life, sports and community service. In addition, there will be five-on-five full-court games and hands-on stations staffed by current and former college players, and area high school and college coaches. Stations include jump shot mechanics, post-player moves, perimeter shooting, driving layups, rebounding techniques, free throws, give-and-go, pick-and-roll, proper footwork, conditioning and positive mental attitude.
