How did you get interested in helping out with charity in general?

I became interested in volunteering when I realized that my free time could be better spent.  I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment after completing a volunteering project and look forward to the next.

 

Is there a particular cause that you are interested in volunteering for?

I am interested in animal rights and refugee/civil rights.

 

How did you find out about Concerts4Charity?

I found Concerts4Charity on VolunteerMatch.org

 

What interested you about our organization?

I love listening to music and going to concerts/festivals and thought that your organization was a great way to include everything I love. 

 

How would you describe your C4C Volunteer experience and what did you do?

I have helped compile the information we collected from the event and sent it off to the main office.  I would say that my experience was amazing.  I was really surprised at the number of younger people that were interested in volunteering and learning more about what they can do to change the world we live in.

 

Describe the various projects that you have worked on within your community (if applicable). 
I have worked with the local food bank and raised money for lower income children.  I have also volunteered at my local library.

 

What do you get out of volunteering? (Why do you volunteer?)
 I volunteered to get a better understanding of what it means to give something back with no expectations of getting anything in return. However, I found that the experience of volunteering gave me a greater return than any other job I've had.

 

What skills do you have that you can contribute to an organization?
I work well with groups of people from varying backgrounds and I am driven to exceed expectations when tasks are assigned.

 

What do you do in your spare time?

The main thing I do in my spare time is travel!  When I'm not traveling I'm reading about new places to travel.  I also do a lot of cooking for my roommates and family.

 

What are your favorite music genres?
 I literally like any type of music.  Looking at my mp3 player I see Country, Classical, European, to Rap and Folk.  Mainly I listen to whatever strikes my mood.

Maroon 5, Paolo Nutini, Dave Matthews Band, Rihanna, Mika, Garth Brooks

 

What are your favorite local clubs?
The Apartment, SmartBar, Double Door, John Barleycorn's

What are your favorite local radio stations?
Kiss 103.5, 101.9

What music (CDs, radio, downloads) are you listening to these days?
 Maroon 5's newest CD, Rihanna "Disturbia", Jason Castro "Over the Rainbow", Cascada-all
